The Stamps would have obviously much rather gotten the victory, but Friday’s contest at Winnipeg’s Canad Inns Stadium was not without some individual accomplishments for members of the Calgary squad.
If you want firsts, quarterback Barrick Nealy threw the first touchdown pass of his career. In fact, he tossed the first two TD passes of his career as he hit Jeremaine Copeland for one score and Teyo Johnson for another.
Defensively, lineman Odell Willis and defensive back Ronnie Amadi each picked up their first career sacks. Safety Wes Lysack made his 200th career tackle.
One more first — offensive lineman Tim O’Neill made his first career start in the CFL.
As far as milestones go, Nik Lewis extended his streak of games with at least one catch to 90.
Meanwhile, Henry Burris eclipsed 3,000 career rushing yards, Ken-Yon Rambo surpassed 4,000 career receiving yards, Ryan Thelwell made his 400th career catch and Markus Howell made his 200th career punt return.
Finally, with his fifth carry of the evening, Joffrey Reynolds moved past James Sykes (1,047) and into fifth place on Calgary’s all-time list.
