INSIDER: Rambo and Reynolds in hunt

Stamps receiver Ken-Yon Rambo and tailback Joffrey Reynolds find themselves in an unusual position as teammates. There has never been a season in which Calgary players have led the CFL in rushing and receiving yards.

Rambo currently sits atop the CFL leaderboard with 1,392 receiving yards – one yard ahead of BC Lions slotback Geroy Simon (Rambo also is second to Ben Cahoon with 97 receptions, to Cahoon’s 105). If Rambo can maintain the yardage pace, he will join an elite group of Stamps receivers who have won receiving yardage titles. Allen Pitts was the last to do so, when he had 97 catches for 1,449 yards in 1999. Here is a look at the complete list, in terms of receiving yards:

Meanwhile, Reynolds heads into Week 17 ranked first in CFL rushing with 1,295 yards — 95 yards ahead of Saskatchewan’s Wes Cates. If Reynolds can hold off his former teammate, he would be the eighth Calgary back to win a rushing title and the first since Gary Allen in 1986. Here’s the list:
