While Ken-Yon Rambo hasn’t posted the biggest numbers of Calgary’s attack over the past three years, his presence on the football field is of massive concern to opposing teams.
Consider this:
–In 2007, he played 17 games and dropped just one pass (by the new coaching staff’s count).
-He went over 1,000 receiving yards for a few seconds last year but a holding call on the offensive line took a 21-yard gain off the board and dropped him below the millenium mark in the season finale.
-At six-foot-one, 200 pounds, Rambo might be the fastest offensive player on the Stamps and his YAC ability is remarkable. No one presents a greater match-up problem.
"Because of his size, his speed and his ability to play slot or wideout, he gives us the ability to use him iso many different ways," said receivers coach Pete Costanza. "He puts huge pressure on a defence when they’re also trying to defend Cope and Nik.
"On top of all that, Ken-Yon is a true pro. He’s a pro in his approach to practice and games, and he’s a great team guy. I’m ecstatic that we’ll have him for years to come."
