The Stamps bid farewell to two-a-days Sunday with a spirited affair at McMahon Stadium.
"It was a bit too spirited," said head coach/GM John Hufnagel, who ended the second session abruptly after Jeff Pilon and Eddie Freeman sparked a melee.
"I was disappointed about that. There was a lack of poise and discipline. It’s the end of camp, everyone’s tired and grumpy but those are the times when you have to show poise."
As for the end of double days, Huff was much more complimentary about his troops.
"I’ve been impressed with how hard guys have worked," he said. "They stayed focused through some challenges with the construction (at McMahon Stadium, which affected meetings and operating space) and the bad weather. We’ve made improvements and we’re building but there’s still a lot of work to do."
