2024

(Toronto) Orimolade played 12 regular-season games and made 17 defensive tackles including two tackles for loss, six sacks, one interception and one forced fumble. He had two sacks and his second career interception in a Week 19 victory at Winnipeg. In Week 16 against Hamilton, Orimolade registered the 100th defensive tackle of his career. He was in uniform for all three post-season games in the Argos’ run to a Grey Cup championship and had two tackles including one tackle for loss.

2023

(Toronto) In his first season with the Argonauts, Orimolade led the team with 10 sacks and earned East Division all-star honours. In 17 regular-season contests, he accumulated 36 tackles including one tackle for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Orimolade had a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a Week 8 win against Saskatchewan and a pair of sacks in a Week 12 contest against Calgary. In the Eastern Final against Montreal, he had three tackles and two sacks.

2022

(Calgary) Orimolade played 17 regular-season games and made 17 starts at defensive end. He established a career high with 37 defensive tackles and scored his first CFL touchdown when he intercepted a Nathan Rourke pass and returned it 28 yards for a major in a Week 10 home game against BC. Orimolade also recorded six sacks, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble. He had a pair of sacks in a Labour Day Classic victory over Edmonton. In the Western Semi-Final against BC, Orimolade had six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.

2021

(Calgary) Orimolade played seven regular-season games including four starts at defensive end and registered eight defensive tackles including one tackle for loss, one special-teams stop and two sacks. He returned to action in Week 12 after missing seven games with a high-ankle sprain and recorded a pair of sacks. Orimolade also was in uniform for the Western Semi-Final.

2020

(Calgary) Orimolade was under contract with the Stampeders but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.

2019

(Calgary) Orimolade suffered a quadriceps injury in the Stamps’ first pre-season contest in 2019 and was sidelined for the rest of the year.

2018

(Calgary) Orimolade made his CFL debut in Week 3 against Ottawa and appeared in a total of 10 regular-season games during his first season with the Stamps. He accumulated seven defensive tackles, 10 special-teams tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one knockdown. Orimolade was also in uniform for both post-season games and had two special-teams tackles and one fumble recovery in Calgary’s Grey Cup victory.

Orimolade played 39 games at linebacker over four seasons (2013-16) at Dartmouth. He recorded 143 total tackles including 35 tackles for loss and also accumulated 23.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and eight pass breakups. The career sack total was second highest in Big Green history. He was the Ivy League’s defensive player of the year in 2016 and was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award as the best defensive player in Division I after recording 83 tackles including 14.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, five forced fumbles and three pass breakups.

Personal

Orimolade was a senior captain at James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md., playing on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Bengals. His full name is Adefolarin Adebayo Orimolade.
