The Stampeders kick off the pre-season in Langford B.C. on Monday at 2 p.m. MT against the BC Lions. The Stamps picked up a 30-6 victory over the Leos in the pre-season last year in Calgary. Vernon Adams Jr. won’t dress for the game meaning P.J. Walker will get the start and see his first taste CFL action. Signal callers Logan Bonner, Josh Love, and 2025 CFL draft pick Quincy Vaughn will also line up under centre during the exhibition contest.

2. Them
The Lions will look to build on last season in which they fell in the West Division Semi-Final to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Quarterback Nathan Rourke will dress for the Lions for the first preseason clash.
3. Head To Head
The Stamps and Lions met three times last year with BC picking up two of three. The lone Stampeders victory came in Week 7 by a 25-24 score. The two teams will go head-to-head twice during the regular season in 2025 with the matchups slated for Week 16 in Calgary and Week 18 in Vancouver.
4. Fast Facts
Monday’s game is available on QR Calgary radio and on the CFL+ live stream.
This is the 11th consecutive pre-season the Stamps and Lions have met, a run that started in 2013 and interrupted only in 2020 and 2021 when no exhibition games were played. Calgary was a 30-6 winner over BC in last year’s tune-up tilt at McMahon Stadium.
Monday’s game is the first of two pre-season outings in six days for the Stampeders, who will play host to the Edmonton Elks on Saturday, May 24.
