Me and Bo have great chemistry. We put in the work after practice and sometimes before. We do a great job of communicating and we’re having a lot of fun out there.
Today, it worked out nice. Hats off to our offensive coordinator, Dave Dickenson. He was calling the right plays at the right times and we took advantage.
I feel really comfortable. It’s a ‘W.’ I’m just trying to do what I can to help out this team.
Regardless of anything, I just want to play. When I work out in the off-season, it’s a full-time job to me. When I come out and compete, I want to be the best that I can be. I’m going to keep on working towards that and keep on having fun at practice and keep on moving forward with the team.
I feel really good. Last week, we played a good game but I had to come out early with a shoulder injury. Bouncing back this week, it was just a lot of fun to get out there and play the full game.
In my head, I felt like we had a really good chance of winning today regardless of injuries. We just want to keep on getting better as a group. When Cornish comes back, we’re just going to be that much stronger.
We’re just showing up to work every day. Everybody kind of has the same mindset to get better and continue to progress.
The last time I’ve been involved with a team like this was junior year at Texas A&M. Everybody is kind of like a unit. We’re all brothers in here. It’s fun to go out and play for the people around you and your teammates. I know it sounds super corny, but that’s really how it feels.
