We played lights out today.

I’ve got to say, a lot of our success is due to scheme. We have a very good defensive coordinator in Rich Stubler and we also have good personnel. The success is owed to a little bit of both.

We got a win on my birthday last year too. It’s always good start the year off with a win, especially going into the bye week here. We’re going to feel good about ourselves and we get to come back to work up a game.

I think it’s important to start on the right foot. We obviously want to get out of the gate fast and strong and show the league that we’re not here to mess around. We’re here to win the whole thing.

As for my birthday plans, I’m sure I’m going to go out somewhere tonight. I don’t have plans yet, but I’m going to shower up, smell a little better and then maybe hit the town.

As for bye week, I’ll be going to Quebec with my girlfriend. I’m going to get to meet her family for the second time and relax there a little bit and that’s about it.
