Tonight’s game was a lot of fun. We came together as a team and got a big win.
Being my first game, I needed a lot of help getting up to speed.
As a unit on offence, everyone helped to get me ready. Glenn, Marquay, and Mo — he was my roommate the night before — got me right on all the plays.
It’s really just hats off to the Stamps organization. They did a great job of preparing me to play tonight and I felt good.
Mo and the whole receiving corps, we’ve been going through practice and they’ve been trying to get me ready.
If I had some trouble getting the plays, Mo or Marquay or Nik — Nik has kind of taken me under his wing — they’ve all made it a very comfortable transition for me.
When it came to getting ready for tonight’s game, I’ve been practicing for three weeks now and I feel if I can make things happen in practice, I’ve just got to translate it to the games.
I think it started to happen for me tonight once I got settled.
Tonight was my first game in two years, and could have put a lot of pressure on me. For me it was just about going out there and having fun. Things worked out and we came away with the win.
There have been a few things I’ve had to learn to transition to the Canadian game but at the end of the day, it was still football.
I think tonight went great. I had a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next one.
