Arthur: My first multi-TD game

Tonight was my first career 100-yard and multi-touchdown game. It was also the first time I’ve played on this field. I’m just really excited. I have to give a shout-out to the offence, we played really well tonight. I think we responded well to our loss last week.

I was trying to think of the last time I broke out for some big numbers. The last time I had a game like this one was probably in college. I’m thankful to have an opportunity like tonight. I had a few opportunities to make some catches and I just tried to make the most with what I was given.

On my first touchdown I was a little gassed and didn’t have much left to celebrate. The second one I tried to keep it contemporary and do a little dance step. The receivers and I, we had something going where we were just trying to have a little fun when we score touchdowns. Of any player who might have enjoyed my moves it might have been Mo Price (who has his own dance step, the Choppa City Juke), if not him then it was Stanley (Bryant).

I’d be wrong if I didn’t recognize the defence for their effort. Oh my goodness, our defence played an exceptional game today, creating turnovers. Coach Huff is always preaching about creating turnovers and producing points out of them. The defence set us up great with some great opportunities and it showed on the scoreboard.

After a tough loss like the one we had last week, bouncing back, I think it comes down to the head man. The coach often says “good teams respond well and don’t lose two in a row.” We did exactly that. He challenged us this week and we came back and responded well.

Now it’s on to the next game and striving to keep this momentum going.
