Calgary enters the final third of the regular season’s 18-game schedule with a 7-5 record that has the Stamps in a tie with Edmonton for top spot in the West. The Red and White is trying to snap a two-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan is trying to get back on the winning track after last week’s 42-5 thumping at the hands of the BC Lions. The Roughriders had won their previous three contests in an attempt to climb out of a 1-7 hole to start the season. At 4-8, the Riders remain last in the West.

The Stamps and Roughriders have already met twice this season, with both games taking place at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium. Calgary prevailed in each case, claiming a 22-18 decision on July 30 and a 45-35 victory on Aug. 12.

Saskatchewan was the winner in the most recent McMahon meeting between the rivals as the Riders won the 2010 West final by a 20-16 score. The Stamps won their only 2010 regular-season home date with the Riders, taking a 40-20 win on July 24.

Calgary is just 2-4 on home turf this season while the Riders are 2-3 on the road. The Stamps are 4-3 in divisional play while the Riders have yet to win a game against a West opponent in five previous tries.
